Ms. Piper leads the Incident Manager Training and Development Program within the Center for Preparedness and Response at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She led creation and development of IMTDP to become an agency-wide program in 2015. She oversees strategic direction for IMTDP and curriculum design and brings over 27 years of public health education and program management experience including 10 years with CDC's scientific fellowships including the Epidemic Intelligence Service and managing public health and leadership curriculum at CDC University. During the 2014 Ebola Outbreak Response, Ms. Piper led training development for health care workers preparing to work in Ebola treatment units, which is documented as part of the Smithsonian Institute.
