Silvia M Trigoso, MPH

Health Scientist
Silvia Trigoso is a health scientist with over 10 years of demonstrated program management experience in Federal and Territorial governments, and non-profit health organizations. Since 2015, she served as program manager to CDC's Incident Manager Training and Development Program (IMTDP), which strengthens CDC's leadership capacity by preparing response leaders to efficiently lead during a public health response. She is responsible for overall coordination of programmatic activities and preparation of IMTDP faculty. She leads efforts to ensure an evidence-informed training strategy is applied and training evaluation is measured through a systematic and quantitative terms at the programmatic and organizational levels to demonstrate value, utility, and business impact. During 2013 - 2015, she provided strategic consultation through CDC's Office of the Public Health Preparedness and Response (OPHPR), Learning Office, on education, training, and issues that impact the CDC preparedness workforce, including, training assessments that identified the critical need to develop role-specific training for response leader roles at CDC. She is the recipient of 2016 & 2017 OPHPR Award for Excellence in Human Capital and Management – Employee Development and 2017 OPHPR Award for Excellence in Public Health Service - Early Career. Ms. Trigoso received her Bachelor of Art degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (2005), Master of Public Health and Certificate in Emergency Preparedness and Response from Loma Linda University (2009).
